Apple bonanza

All the big beautiful apples on my apple tree were thoroughly wormy this year, so I didn't harvest them. But they're certainly not going to waste- there were up to 5 deer at a time this afternoon eating them.

Taken from a second story window looking into the side yard, the gate leads to the vegetable garden and of course is utterly useless at keeping wildlife out.

I wasn't aware they were fond of apples, but a neighbor at the farm has pear trees, and they sure do like those.

At least the apples aren't going to waste. They were extra big and pretty this year and every single one of them had worms.

Great pics!
At least the deer got yummy apples. You can have a landscaping co. spray next spring for the little beasties. They may even have an organic/pesticide free spray these days.

I'm going to get fruit trees for the new house next spring!! yay! Maybe we can trade jams, and preserves next fall.

Hugs,

Cerri

I sooo want to do a houseswap :) Admittedly we once had cows on our street, which did look very strange on our typical East London terraced house street, but can't find the one photo I took. That though hasn't happened for years as when they built the new motorway they stopped the cows roaming on Epping Forest (very very near us the bottom of that) which is a shame as they had the right to pasture cows there for hundreds of years.

I will show you our house, if you come to Eastercon in London next year :)
